No audio with AverMedia DVB-T 777

I have just bought an AverMedia DVB-T 777 capture card, and although the analogue tv input works fine with the AverTV6 software when I switch to MFP 5+ the audio is just white noise, a loud hissing sound. Does anyone know the reason for this?

My ¡§video pc¡¨ is busted right now so I can¡¦t check. Can you select the type of PAL Audio when MF5 scans for the TV channels ? I have to use audio type-I on my normal TV, else I get hissing. Also on my pc, for MF5/6 I don¡¦t use the TV card¡¦s audio lead to line-in jack ¡V this causes an echo as the sound also goes via the cards PCI bus .
