PhotoImpact X3 - Protexis?

I dropped PSP when it added Protexis - mostly because a) they didn't say they were installing it, b) it wouldn't uninstall when the program was removed.

That sort of stealth install drives me away from any product.

I moved to PI 12.

Now that Ulead is owned by Corel, does PI X3 have Protexis as well?

Yepp, does have it too and I don't like it either.

Thanks for the reply! As I said, I don't like

a) stealth installs
b) stuff that doesn't get removed when I uninstall
c) Services that run unnecessarily

Looks like I may stick with Paint.NET for a while (on my new PC). I was going to order X3, but now ...
