Videostudio 11 plus installation

I downloaded the vs11 plus trial and liked it. I bought the disks. The installation of the new disks deleted the download and now vs11 won't load because the previous version is not an acceptable upgrade.

Do a search of the board for "clean uninstall." You will find instructions how to do a total uninstall that goes beyond just using the Add/Remove programs function in Windows.
That should clean out any traces of the trial then you should be able to re-install your full program.

upgrade

Corel sent an upgrade version. It won't install without the serial number from the previous version. The trial version did not have a serial number.

Ummm but you said you bought the disc. That would have the serial number wouldn't it?

Yes, the upgrade disc has a serial number but the installation requires the serial number from the previous version. That is the one I don't have. The order confirmation says that a serial number and order number would be emailed within 30 minutes of the order but there was no email.

Ok I got it now.
Sounds like Corel have sent you an upgrade version instead of a totally new version.
Not really much anyone can do on this board as none of us are connected to Corel in any way.
All I can see is that you need to contact Corel to get access to the full program.
If all this proves too difficult for Corel to sort out there is a 30 day money back deal. If necessary get your money back and go to the beginning and start agin if you still feel like it!
