One more MPEG render question, Please

Post by abbjr »

...and this is probably a stupid question, but keep in mind I am new at this. If I already have a MPEG file (MPEG2 actually), do I need to render it via the Create Video File phase in VideoStudio, or can I just simply start with the Burn DVD phase as I already have a MPEG? (duh!)

If you are creating a dvd and your mpeg2 file is dvd compiliant than no there is no need to re-render.

How to skip re-rendering

In VS9, when you use the "Create Disc" tool, click the little Gear icon on the bottom left. You should see a popup that has an option to "Do not convert compliant mpeg files" Put a check in that box, and as long as your file(s) are compliant for the type of disc you are creating, they will not need to be re-rendered...
