VideoStudio11 - unable to create disc

Post by rsa53 »

Hi,

I recently purchased VideoStudio11 and am trying to create a DVD. I have applied all the update "Ulead VideoStudio 11 Update Pack (Release Date: 2007/11/6)" and have also tried to create the disc with empty time line as suggested here. The problem that I am getting is that in the "Create Disc" application the jog dial and all the buttons to preview the video are disabled. If I go and try to add chapters then again all the buttons are disabled. "Auto Add Chapters" is the only button that is available but VideoStudio crashes in a few seconds if I try to add chapters at fixed interval or by automatic scene detection. Please help me solve this issue :(.
Sad.

Regards.

Hi rsa53 and welcome to the forum!

Help us to help you by filling in the pc related stuff in your forum user profile - otherwise when we click on your "system" button, it appears that you have no pc!

You might try loading the latest DirectX

You may still want to try installing the DirectX. Updating it does not always change the version number, so you may not have the most up-to-date version.

Dear colleagues,

I had the same problem since the installation of VS11 Plus. Now, I learned the solution from this forum. Thanks a lot to all of you!

In fact, it's even better! I had the problem with the 3D transitions as well that did not work. Some of them just stalled.

Now, after the update of DirectX from the Microsoft website to the latest version, also this problem is solved!

Fantastic. :D

Thanks again.

Ulrich

P.S. I am disappointed with Microsoft (again). I always make all updates and keep my OS in perfect condition. But still, a re-installation of DirectX was necessary. This should not be necessary.

I've been playing a little game, seeing how many posts I could make with the suggestion to update DirectX - although all of them where I did feel that it would be a worthwhile suggestion.

I would credit Ken Berry for starting to make the suggestion.
