I checked the folder in Ulead common files, mpeg, and it is there. When I did run: regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ulead Systems\Mpeg\mpgvout.dll, all I got was "DllRegisterServerPoint was not found. Any suggestions?

Please copy the file
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ulead Systems\Mpeg\mpgvout.dll
and paste it to
C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio 11\mpgvout.dll

Still no change

Post by alligatorjerry1 »

thank you for your response. I did exactly as stated, copied the file to the other folder, still the same. Is there any way to talt to a technical assistant at Corel so I can figuer this out? I still cannot figure out how to submit aquestion to them? All i get is "answers" tab and "my Stuff". I have spent over 15 hours troubleshooting this problem. I cannot reurn the software, so I am stuck with it. I really would like to get on with my project. Thank you again for any assistance.

I have discovered the cause of your problem.

No computer --> Image !!!!.

Try the following:
1. Rather than the usual uninstall/re-install method try our method
2. If that fails then work your way through troubleshooting your computer
3. If that fails then here is How to Contact Corel by Email

Solved the issue on my own

Post by alligatorjerry1 »

I tried several different folders cutting and pasting, not just the one that had mpegvout.dll but a couple of others as well. Ended up cutting the entire mpeg file from the common file into the c;\program files\ulead and halleluja it launched. I went through several other posts and deduced that it was not seeing the file because the install wizard didn't place the needed files in the correct folders and it was ot mapped properly for the .exe file. I took the info you gave me as well and found the magic combination. I was able to capture 2 camera angles, and have 2 more to go. Thanks for your assistance, and yes, my deepest apologies for not informing you of my OS........it is XP Pro SP2 on a AMD P4, 1.844mhz, 1 gig ram, 1-500gb HD, 1-160gb hd (os), ATI 512 HD dual Video card, 3 port ATX Firewire card, 450 watt power supply. I built the system a couple of years back and its been bullet proof- Have a great day and thanks again! :D :D :D

That file and others that ulead uses are found in the windows environment PATH statement.
If you have other problems with the program because it can't find other files make sure your PATH statement is valid and not corrupted. You will find out when you go into the burning module.

I got the solution

Hi Jerry, I don't know if you've already solved the problem. Anyway here's a solution, I had a similar problem as you, so I tried to figure out the problem and I found that the problem was caused by another software, in my case the problem was "WinTV" a software that came with my TV PCI Card. I uninstalled it and now Ulead VideoStudeo 11 is running well. Try to figure out what the software that's causing your problem is, maybe it's the same. Good Luck.
