I tried several different folders cutting and pasting, not just the one that had mpegvout.dll but a couple of others as well. Ended up cutting the entire mpeg file from the common file into the c;\program files\ulead and halleluja it launched. I went through several other posts and deduced that it was not seeing the file because the install wizard didn't place the needed files in the correct folders and it was ot mapped properly for the .exe file. I took the info you gave me as well and found the magic combination. I was able to capture 2 camera angles, and have 2 more to go. Thanks for your assistance, and yes, my deepest apologies for not informing you of my OS........it is XP Pro SP2 on a AMD P4, 1.844mhz, 1 gig ram, 1-500gb HD, 1-160gb hd (os), ATI 512 HD dual Video card, 3 port ATX Firewire card, 450 watt power supply. I built the system a couple of years back and its been bullet proof- Have a great day and thanks again!
