I'm using Moviefactory 6 + to create my HD DVD's and the program works get when I don't create a menu and just let it create a HD DVD that will auto-play.
However, I can use the exact same file/files and when I try to create a menu it crashes at the burn stage. I've tried every combination of things: ie Motion Menu/No motion Menu, with chapters/without chapters and then with/out chapter menus. Moving path on/off. etc.
When I get to step 3/3 I press the burn button The program flashes "preparing output content" above the "Total Progress" bar and then almost immediately a pop-up saying "Unspecified Error". No other details.
As stated it work fine with these files with no menu.
Any suggestions?
PS.. I've even tried to pre-render the menu, which it appears to do but it still crashes on Burn.
Unspecified Error when creating Menu
Ok, I got that problem fixed.
I uninstalled Moviefactory, restarted my system.
Re-installed 6+. Rebooted my system.
This time, instead of applying patch 2 directly onto the new install (as I did the first time) I installed patch 1. Rebooted the system and then installed patch 2. The menu thing works.
Now however I am having Audio Lagging/Sync problems ONLY when I creat HD DVD's with menus. With no menus, it still works fine, but with menus once I start playing the video after about 10 seconds the audio starts to get VERY choppy. If I press pause/stop and start back up it is good for about 10 seconds and then gets VERY choppy again.
Suggestions please.

This audio choppiness occurs while previewing in DMF6+ ? This may be normal. Looking at your system specs, are you using a duo-core system? If so it will be sluggish trying to handle HD video. I've noticed that members such as Etech6335 use a quad-core system. The program has to throw together everything, including the menus "on-the-fly" for you to preview. This is a very demanding task for computers. I would guess that you're using motion menus, which also add to that task.
Have you tried producing a DVD to see if this sync problem is actually produced on the disc? You might also try burning to folders on your hard drive, and using a software player to see if the problem persists.

Everything plays fine on the computer. Previews fine. Not an issue there. I burn the disk, play it back on my computer, no problems. It's when I go to my stand alone HD DVD player (HD-A3) that I have the problem.
Again, only when dealing with disks created with menus. without menus everything works perfect, but then I have to watch all the begining videos to get to the later ones
