New User Needs Help

Post by SirBigB1 »

Hi, I just got the videostudio 11 and was trying it for the first time and had 9.5 gb of video and tried to put it on a 4.7gb dvd after burning it it came out showing it has used 3.75 gb???
So being new to this I guess this program compresses the video ??? is there any way to burn without compressing the video and keeping the good quality?? Thanks

Not sure what the official way of doing it but this is my way:

1. Burn video to a folder on your HD
2. Use DVD Shrink to compress it down to fill the DVD

In short, no there is no way to get that amount of video onto a DVD without losing quality although I find DVD Shrink is awesome at retaining the level of quality when compressing.
