I've been working with this lock up problem I have with the slide show creator -- both versions 2SE and 4 upgrade. I finally narrowed it down -- for some reason, my XP setup did not assign any drive C. My Windows drive is E. I have a flash disk that becomes drive C when it is put in. WIth the flash disk in, the slide show program works fine. With it out, locks up.

Working Folder?
can you launch MF4 (with the flash disk in), and click the 1st icon on the bottom left. Change the Working Folder to a folder on "E" -- maybe that will help?
