Hi.
Wonder if someone could help me here
Just installed VS 10 and after importing an MPEG file taken by a SONY SD HDD camcoder, which is stored on my PC HD into this software, I get prefect video but get no audio.
I'm using MS XP SP2 on an Intel based machine.
Not sure what is wrong...
All the best,
Ofer

It's a legal copy with an ID# that I got bundled with a video capturing device I just bought... I have registered it at the Coral site, but they shook me off saying the do not support a budled / OEM product... It's the standard VS10 - not a plus, not plus plus... I just need it for very basic video editing... About the Dolby 5 format - not sure, but will check in my Sony camcoder user guide... Thanks for your response

Since it was bundled with hardware, your version would be an SE version. SE versions do not allow Dolby digital, since Dolby requires a fee to use their technology.
Other problems that may/may not arise with VS10, is being able to run on Vista. Ulead issued a Vista patch for VS10, however patches generally do not install to SE or Trial versions.

You were right Ron (besides the fact I do not dare using VISTA..),vidoman wrote:Since it was bundled with hardware, your version would be an SE version. SE versions do not allow Dolby digital, since Dolby requires a fee to use their technology.

First, the VS is indeed SE, and then my my handy cam is using Dolby. So I guess I should use a diffrant VS version - which one? Do u know if I could upgrade from my SE version, or should I buy a new version?
Thanks for your help

Yes you can upgrade from your VS10SE to VS11, where you can get discount price. I would also recommend upgrading to the Plus version. Not only does it provide more features, such as 6 overlay tracks instead of just 1, but when you purchase the Plus version you qualify for the free upgrade to VS11.5 plus. Also with VS11+ you can cut clips on the overlay tracks, where with VS10+ you can not.
Since VS10 (full version) Dolby has been incorporated into the program. So with the full version of VS11+, you would have this.
Now I will add this, that it is getting close to the common time of the year, where new versions are released. So VS12 may be just around the corner. I have no way of knowing when this might be. It may be another month or so before they release it. Just a heads up for you to consider..
