Please Help - Audio Issues

Post by parisianchick »

I am trying to import clips from dvds for a birthday video I am making for my daughters' 3rd birthday. The issue that I am having is with the audio. When I click on the clip itself, the audio of the imported clips is perfect. However, when I incorporate it as part of the project clip, then the audio (specifically the vocal) becomes almost impossible to hear.

I am using a full version of Video Studio 11+. As suggested, I also tried changing the audio to a wave file. That didn't work either.

Any other ideas? Please help. I am working on a deadline.

Thanks

Are you also using any background music with your project? I'm understanding that the volume of your audio appears to be turned down, or real quiet.

Check the Attribute Tab for the Audio in Audio View to make sure the volume was not decreased. For normal audio it should say 100. Then also check the Surround Sound Mixer to see that the audio is not turned down, or any music is not turned way up.

checked both of those and they are normal. The music is inbedded in the video clip. The sound level is perfect if I click on the individual clip itself... even put in the timeline. The sound then decreases significantly when I click on "project" and view it within the project.

Any other ideas would be really appreciated.

Thanks.

Strange that you bring this up now. I am having the same problem.

I'm working on a project with two audio tracks on top of each other. Usually I give each project's work from that day in a different name. Day one is "X1a" day two is "X1b" day three is "X1c" etc.

Now when I open the project from yesterday one of the audio tracks will not play in the project mode but it's loud and clear when I play it by itself in the clip mode.

I must have done something (I was fooling with the 'rubberbands' adjusting the audio levels) because if I pull up the same project from a few days ago, that same clip plays in the project mode.

Worse case scenerio is I'll have to reinsert this audio track and make the audio adjustments again. More time consuming but it can be done. But I don't understand why it plays in clip mode (i.e. It's 'there') but won't play in project mode.

I solved my problem.

I had increased the volume too high in one section of the audio track in question. Once I adjusted (lowered) the rubberbands a notch the track now plays in the project mode as it should.

Not sure if this helps the original poster but my situation has been corrected.
