Hi, I would like to unit several UVS10+ projects. I have opened the first project, VSP file, and adde a second VSP file. I thought that the second project will remain with the scenes but it appears as single scene.
How can I unite projects while retaining scenes on each project?
Thanks for the help,
Gabi

Hi Gabi
The short answer is you can¡¦t.
Inserting a Vsp to an existing Vsp is known as nesting.
When you do this the inserted Vsp is represented by a single file.
Although this method of editing is possible (nesting Vsp¡¦s) I do not use the process and do not recommend its use, but that¡¦s just my opinion.
I find it best to complete the individual Vsp editing.
Then create a video file of each from Share----Create Video File (DV or DVD)
If you wish to combine them, each Individual video file can now be inserted to a new project.
Then rendered again to one file.
Otherwise they can all be burnt to a single Dvd via Share----Create Disc----Add video.
Hope this helps

I use this method all the time, because it allows me to have "sub chapters" I like to start with a blank vsp & then add several VSP files to the time line. Click on an added VSP and then the add/edit Chapter. If you do not "Add/edit" you can still use the "next" button on your DVD control to skip through chapters
The important part of this is you must use the Chapter Point Manager within the original VSP's. I believe that most people in this forum do not like this method, but it works for me.
If you do not do this (use chapter pointers) then Trever's answer is true. You would have to recreate all your chapters
Sorry if this does not make sense I seem to have a challenge using the correct terminology.

I mainly create slide shows with a few short movies thrown in. I have not noticed a "jump" between VSP files. When I use this method I normally only want to show 1 "VSP" file at a time and have the system go back to the main menu after playing.
Although I sometimes use "Create Disc --> Add VSP files" I usually just drag & drop on this time line with the same results.

Yes, if you burn separate VSPs or MPEG2 clips (these would be known as separate Titles) there will be a slight pause between them. To hide this I usually use a 1 or 2 second fade out to black from the first title, and a 1 or 2 second fade in from black to the next title.
