Good Evening, just after a little assitance.
Just be using ULEAD Video Studio 10 to make my first dvd compilation of some favourite music clips.
When using the import from DVDR function and selecting a chapter, the chapter tests fine with good image and sound, but after importing the clip the there is image only and no sound. Tried this from two perfectly working source dvdr's, one worked the other did not. Tried the troubleshoot recomendation of checking the volume controls in XP and all is fine.
Any ideas to help would be most appreciated. A friend mentioned something about AC3 audio not being recognised...
Thanks for your time.

Is your version of VS a trial or SE (free) version? Trial and free versions can't deal with Dolby audio (for licensing reasons).

Thanks Blacklab for answering,
It may fall into the latter category as the Ulead program came bundled with a "EasyCap" USB 2.0 Capture cable to bring in analaogue video from my old camera.
If this is the case and it cannot bring in the audio do you think there are any plug inns or contacts at Ulead I can refer this to.
I have a program called AoA dvd ripper that can convert these files to MPEG1 or 2 and which Ulead will pick up both audio and visual but I am still working out if there is a drop in quality.
Your thoughts would be most appreciated.

I am also having this problem. I am trying to import chapters from some DVDs I mastered a few years ago using DVD Workshop 2. The audio is AC3. When I try to import the chapters into VideoStudio 11 (full download version) the files import with no audio. If I right click on the imported file once in VideoStudio it indicates there is no audio.
Oh by the way - In the DVD import preview player the audio plays, it just doesn't import!! Any ideas any one?
Cheers,
Mark
