I am sorry, but you must give us a lot more information so that we can help you. What kind of 'capture module' are you using? Are you trying to capture analogue or digital video? What are your capture settings? What are your computer specifications?

Click Capture on the very left-top. choose your cam from the drop down menu on the left. You should just be able to launch VS & turn your cam on, once Windows recognizes it VS will ask you if you want to use it.

My guess is that your computer didn't see the camera.

Make sure that the IEEE1394 (firewire) cable is plugged in and the camera is on.

You should see the camera in the *My Computer* folder. If it isn't there, you'll neec to troubleshoot the camera/computer.

and in addition to all of the above, turn the camcorder on, and the switch to "play back" or VCR, so you can output the video via the firewire.

Yeah, and maybe restart Video Studio once, or perhaps restart your whole computer once. I've had this problem more than once, but it didn't persist.
