Hi, I have VS11plus. Lately i have been having audio problems when creating DVD's through VS. I test all files before creating the DVD and all audio is working fine. When i burn the disc and test it on any dvd player either some or all audio is not present. To give you an example ive just created a DVD with a clip where there is a person speaking and music in the background which has been added to the oriinal clip. When i burn to DVD and play the same clip the music and video are there but no voice.
I have completed updates to VS11 hoping this might fix the problem but it has not. Can anyone out there please help thnx

8 posts and still haven't filled in your system specs hmmm!
You know it really would help if you did that.
Also we are a bit in the dark because you haven't told us what the properties of all these files are, both sound and video.
So from my position blindfolded and in the dark I would guess you maybe have an MP3 file in there somewhere? If so convert it to a wav file and see how that goes.
If not we will really need all the other info.

okies.... just filled in system info as much as i know.
The Video source is AVI (DV) straight from my camera and when the file is rendered after edit, it is to DV fomat then those files are placed into "create disc" in VS. The sound file for the background in the described clip is MP3 and that plays on the DVD fine. Its the audio from the video that has disapeared. Also when i have recorded sporting events in the past all audio disapears after burning but only on some clips. Thnx

Strange.
Really the only thing I can think of is the MP3 may be interfering with the render.
You say you render to a final DV avi file then load that in the DVD module and burn?
If so try instead to render to a DVD compliant MPEG2 file then clear the timeline and load the DVD MPEG2 file into the DVD burning module. As it is you appear to be getting VS to do the DV avi conversion to MPEG2 at the burning stage which is something it does not like to do.

I know VS is doing the conversion but the importance is at what point it is doing the conversion. You post suggested that you were rendeing to a new avi file THEN loading that file into the Create Disc module. This has been found to be risky.
I am saying when you have finished editing totally render to a DVD compliant MPEG2 file at that point.
Then, open a new project, the purpose of this is to empty the timeline. Go to Share, Create Disc and load the MPEG2 you previously created then menus and burn.
