Finalizing Edits

Post by grajon »

I am brand new to forums so please excuse any dumb stuff. I have learned how to clip and remove unwanted junk from my projects. Now, how do I finish and get the clips together and ready to put on DVD? I have VS9.

Once you have completed all your editing go to the "Share Tab" and select "Create Video File." Choose one of the canned PAL DVD or NTSC DVD profiles depending on your source files and let it run. Make sure you note where the newly created file is being saved! Then go to "File" and start a new project. You are not really starting a new project, the purpose of this is to clear the timeline. Then go to "Share" again and create DVD. When the DVD module starts you can add the MPEG2 DVD file you created, do your chapters and burn. For the full procedure see here courtesy of SteveJ:

Thank you for the quick answer. I didn't expect to hear anything so quickly. I checked out the tutorial and a couple of the links, but it will take a while to get it all. Thanks again.
