Quicktime movie conversion

Post by tweety28au »

Does anyone else have trouble with the conversion of QuickTime movies (*.mov) when creating a DVD? I'm finding that when I add my movies they are working fine within the project but when I burn a DVD to play in my DVD player they covert to being really slow and no sound.

Does anyone have any suggestions or know of an independent converter that I could convert the files with before putting them into Ulead DVD Movie Factory 4.0?

I get the same problem after transferring the mfiles from my digital camera to my hard drive and then adding them to the dvd, they play fine in the program but the dvd plays in very slow motion.

I did have a look on the site mentioned but couldn't find out much

any other help would be appreciated

If they're in 'pita' format the only thing I want in a pita is a kebab! :D

Actually I solved the problem I used 'sonic my dvd' and it burned the disc no problem and the dvd plays at the right speed

so why can't ulead do it, gonna call the techies on monday and as long as they ain't in india I'll speak to them :D

and yes I am a novice in dvd burning so what's a 'pita' format if it's not a kebab? :D

Yes, my quicktime movies do come from a digital still camera. A Kodak to be exact.

Where do you get this 'sonic my dvd' from? Is it free or do you pay for it?

I'm a novice too and don't know what it meant by 'pita' format.

Kodak .mov files - transfer / view in Windows Media Player

Post by rossdog »

For clarification, I have a Kodak which shoots in .mov files. I want to transfer them so they can be viewed in Windows Media Player format. Does this software accomodate this and do it well - or is there another program? Is it the "sonic" program which one poster referred to? Did it work well?

Appreciate the insight!
:)
