Exporting DV camera to PC (Only displays part of video)

Post by davidconway »

Hi Forum,
Really hope you can help me here!
I have made a recording on an Canon MXV10i, and everything is fine
with it, until it comes to exporting the film to PC!
I'm using Media Studio and have tried all settings I can find and I've contacted Canon technical support.
Basically when the film is exported only a small part of the screen is displayed. The film looks ok through the viewfinder but is zoomed in when I'm looking at it on the laptop screen! The sound and picture are all Perfect but I can only see a small part of the screen.

I know there is something obvious i must be doing wrong

what is it?

thanks, David

Do you mean the Canon MVX10i

Are you connecting with the supplied USB cable or are you using an IEEE1394 firewire cable?

We need some further information from you.
Are you using a PAL or NTSC camcorder and what are the project settings you have selected in MediaStudio Pro.

Are you "transferring" the video in DV or some other format?
