red line

when working with ulead video syudio 11 i get a red line in the bar above the project when i try to record voice. after i get this line the video will not move beyond the end of it. can you tell me why this is?

The red line is the Preview Range, which indicates the duration of the Project you want to preview. To undo this click on Project to that you're in project mode, and drag the triangles on each end out to the far left and right.

Another method to clear this, is while in Project Mode, click the Navigation Arrow to take you to the very start. Then press the "[" bracket to set the mark-in for the very beginning. Do the same to go to the end, and use the other bracket.

by the way, what are the little yellow arrow heads that you insert in the bar? what do they do?

With VS11+ you have the ability to use Chapter and Cue markers. Chapter markers are yellow, and Cue markers are Blue. You can read about these in the User's Guide on page# 70.
