I have upgrade studio9 and have to first load studio4 full version. Just purchased laptop with Vista Home and when I load studio4 I get error messages about colours not available etc. I ignored and carried on but then found that although studio9 looked ok it would not let me play my finished film. I have removed both versions from laptop and will try to load again. Any idea's please

VS 4 and VS9 were not designed to run on Vista.
VS 11 was the first to be written specifically for Vista.
You could try to install VS9 and when you are asked for the previous version put the VS4 disc in the DVD tray and direct the program to locate VS4 on that.
NOTE: Before trying to run VS 9 change the settings of the VS executable file to run as an XP program. Even then it may not run.
