Problem transferring video from camcorder.

Your computer wouldn't run if you only had Ulead running!!

When I play the video from my camcorder to the computer it works fine, doesn't skip but as soon as I start to capture it drops 100 frames in 25 seconds.
Viewing using the firewire port as a pass through doesn't use much pc power. When you start to capture the pc has to write a lot of data at the same time as reading lots.

What are your computer specs?

What has changed? If your pc once worked well and now doesn't something must have changed, so rather than us running round trying to guess, can you tell us?

I did a chkdsk and it seems to be working perfect now.
