Flash Animations & Sample AVI files won't Play

Post by sidbueddro »

Under the Edit mode, their are a number of Flash Animation files, that I assume were part of the initial instal. When I try and input one of these clips into the timeline and play, I receive an erro that the contents of the files are unreadable. Were these files in fact part of the original install, and if so, can I try reinstalling them from the instlallation disk. I do not find them on the Bonus CD that came with.

Also, with the Bonus Content CD there is a file of Sample Video's which are AVI files. Even after copying them from the CD to my hard drive, they show up as generic AVI icons in the folder menu, and when I try to import them into a library for use, I still receive an error when trying to use them in the timeline. Thanks in advance for your help with one or both of these.

The problem with the flash animations are that you have updated your copy o flash - not surprising - most web sites prompt you to do so when they contain flash content. To get flash working again look in your installation files and you will find a copy of flashplayer7_winax.exe

The other issue with the avi files is due to the fact that you are using
Microsoft Vista. Several of the sample avi files will not work on Vista - in fact it is surprising that Corel put them onto the bonus disc.
