Skips, stutters, same results, also depends on the bit-rates.One problem though, the definition is there, but somewhere along this messy process, frames are being dropped so the output has skips...
When you see Level 4.0 or 4.1 that related to the encoded bit-rate of the video. The higher the level the higher the bit-rate.
It appears the avc for hd-dvd isn't the same as avchd spec.
Like that new Samsung camcorder that records in avc but it's not avchd compliant.
I've been able to get the latest version of Nero 8 to work for HD-DVD (better late than never).
The latest release of Nero has some really nice Blu-Ray Encoder parameters.
You can encode very low bit-rates or very high bit-rates, including standard definition frame sizes,
I give up on HD-DVD, you can have the EVO container format if you want, live with it and die with it. (Including my investment).
Blu-Ray or AVCHD disks are so much easier to work with.
