WHAT IS THE DIFFRENCE BETWEEN DOING A BATCH CONVERT TO A FILE OR MAKING VIDEO FILE UNDER SHARE TABB
2 I HAVE A LAPTOP . IT HAS A 1394 SOCKET I SUPPOSE A FIRE WIRE OR I LINK BUT THE POINT IN LAPTOP IS 4 PIN .THEN HOW SHOULD I CONNECT THE THE OHTER 6 PIN SOCKET IN CAM
OR IZ THERE NY OTHER ALTERNATE

Batch convert as the name implies converts several files one after the other.
If you only have one file to convert then you would use the share tab.
If you have several to convert you would probably set your computer up to do it overnight while you get some sleep. The computer will then convert the first file, convert the second, convert the third, fourth and so on.
about that 4 pin to 4 pin firewire cable, I bought one a few months ago to use with my laptop. Found one by searching Google and it cost one pence!!
The postage and packing cost four pounds fifty
