I've been using VS 10+ for some time now, and decided to downloaded the trial version of VS 11+ to see it's worth upgrading to.
I discovered that VS 11 is much slower in creating a high quality wmv file than VS 10. And I'm wondering why that is?
I'm using the exact same Vista PC, exact same MPEG-2 files (originally transcoded from DVD by VS), exact same project files, and both versions of VS are setup (prefences) the same.
In VS 10+ the files take about 45 mins each to create. In VS 11 they take just over an hour each. In my experiences, new versions usually perform better, faster but not in this case. And I don't quite understand why.
Anyone have any insights?
