roxio 7 compatible?

Post by coolblue »

G¡¦day all. Another newbie question, 2 things here, I have a DVD disc that was burnt with ROXIO 7 which I downloaded to my H/D and I cant get it to show up in VS + Is it because it is just not compatible, or am I not doing something ?
Also I have created a slide show and I¡¦m buggered if I can figure out how to adjust the duration of the pictures. I have tried dragging but that is not exact enough as I want to get each slide to stay on longer. Any clues¡K?
Many thanks for your help
Cheers

If this is a regular Video-DVD (with AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders) you need to use the DVD Import function under the Capture tab. You can import from the DVD or from the hard-drive copy.

I have to leave your 2nd question for someone else... Ive never made a slideshow.

Cool Blue,

To set the default duration for images -- File > Preferences > Edit tab > set the default duration for images and transitions. This will not reset all the images in timeline, only the ones you add after changing the default.

If you are using the VS Movie Wizard to create the slide show, you can set the duration for ALL the images by clicking on the gear wheel under the preview window. Select the number of seconds in the drop down box. Then if you want, you can adjust each image individually when you return to the edit mode.

You can also change the duration of individual images that are in the timeline by clicking on the image. On the right you should see on the image tab, a the time that can be adjusted. You can adjust the duration to .01 of a second.

Hope this helps.

In the Editor you can select all the images that you want to change the duration, either by CTL+Click to select random clips, or holding down the Shift key and selecting several consecutive clips. Then go to the Clip menu where you can select....Change Image/Color Duration. This will change the duration for all the image and/or color clips you have selected..;)
