Audio Programming

Post by photo dusters »

I have learned the audio filter system to the best of my ability, but am still having some trouble. When overlaying audio on my movie I prefer to have the music fade in and fade out. I have not found the secret to doing so. Thus it just booms in and ends very abruptly. Could any of you more enlightened users pass along some advice?

Thanks

First in the Preferences dialog you can set a default duration for this. To access the Preferences dialog press F6 on your keyboard or go to File menu, Preferences. Then on the Edit tab, about midway there are a series of Default settings.

Now to use the Fade-In/Fade-out, click on the Audio step (located across the top). You should now see 2 tabs, Music & Voice, and Auto Music. On the Music & Voice tab there are two graduated bars. Hover your cursor over them, and a tool tip will appear stating Fade-In or Fade-out. Pressing them will set the audio to fade in or out.

This information can be located on page#102 of the User Guide.
