Combining Projects

Post by joshuahooper77 »

I started using VideoStudio just recently, and I have created 3 short projects so far. (The projects have been things like "Summer Vacation," "Christmas 07," etc.) I have been really happy with the results, and even successfully burned them to a DVD with chapters and everything. Each project is about 20 minutes long. What I would like to do is combine the three projects so that I can burn all three onto a single DVD (versus having them on 3 separate DVD's like I do now). The problem is, I can't figure out how I can do that without having to re-do most of what I've done in terms of titles, editing, chapter points, clip sequence, etc. Any suggestions? Thank you!

If you have the original projects AND material still intact on your hard drive then you can create a new DVD but you would have to remake all of your menus. Not quite like starting from scratch - your editing has been done, but you would have to redo the authoring step.

If you want to merge 3 existing small DVD's into one larger one, then you need 3rd party software. I have heard of DVD Remake but have never used it. A search of Google might also find other similar software but as far as I know none of it is FREE.

Perfect. And I do see now how, once you click Create DVD and get to the authoring window, you can click on the "+VSP" icon to import other VideoStudio Projects. That's great. Thanks again!
