Object alignment 3dps

Post by nyairman »

Hello all. I am a new user to 3dps and have a question. I downloaded 3dps and have enjoyed the product so far. However, in the "Object" drop down menu, all options in the "alignment" menu are shaded out. So I cannot move one object in front of another object ect.. Any thoughts? Did the download not completelly install or am I doing something wrong here. Any feedback is really appreciated. Thanks. Greg.

Welcome to the forums,

In order to activate the align menu, you need to have more then one object selected. So in the object manager select more than one object, using CTL+click, or Shift+Click to select several consecutive objects. Then go to the Object menu and the Align menu commands should be activated. I guess you can't align an object to itself..;)

for your quick reply and fix. I really do appreciate it. 2D to 3D is really quite a change for me and perhaps I need to order the boxed 3dps. A manual would help me alot. Thank you again for your help. Greg.

Even with the ESD (download) version you should have got a PDF manual. If not you can download it from the following link..
