Have had to replace my motherboard and rebuild my machine on which VS 9 was installed.
I have re-installed VS 9 succesfully but not able to use it because I can't register it?
Each time I start the program I am presented with a screen from Softwrap that tells me to activate the program. I use the details as given me in the original email when I purchased the program but they don't work, neither is my email recognised despite me being a registered customer of ULEAD. Softwrap have sent me different activation details but which also do not work!!!!
I have accessed the ULEAD site for Technical or Customer advice/service but this I am told is not available because my version 9 is no longer supported, despite it not being listed as such.
Customer service only extends to Patches and the like with no dialogue being available!!!
HELP :-)

I can only guess that you purchased an activation key, and not the full version of VS9. If that's the case, I can clearly see what is a long term issue with doing so. The inability to re-activate years later.
Ulead basically no longer exists. It was merged with Intervideo, then a few months later Intervideo was acquired by Corel. Throughout this process things get changed and dropped. Such as Softwrap or Element 5 handling the online business transactions.
There are some phone numbers provided on Corel's website, you could try contacting them and pleading your case. However I'm not sure that Corel would have the ability to deal with a phased-out program. Yes VS9 is considered by Corel, a phased-out program.

You will need to view one of their FAQs to get the Email Corel tab to appear. But then you will be able to send them an email.

I think I have spent too much time already with Corel/Ulead/Softwrap/Element 5/ Old Uncle Tom Cobley 'an all!
I had already uninstalled it in favour of ROXIO but then re-installed again when I got the code from Softwrap which didnt't work!
I shall go to ROXIO again-
Cheers for now
