Hey TheCoalMan, get this...

On the newegg web site, they had a Nec ND-3520A, which got good reviews and great comments form all those who bought it, Friday night,
$49.00 FREE shipping... I was gonna buy it but though I'd wait until after supper. Wouldn't you guess it, after supper, I log back on to newegg.com the same burner is now $51.99 plus $2.99 shipping!

Gosh, this stuff changes like the stock market, an example of, you snooze you lose..." LOL

Maybe they knew you were going to buy it.

MD did bring up a good point though about returns and such. I've never bought anything from newegg but will be shortly. The reson I suggested them is that I've read many comments from other posters that their service is excellent. You do have to be wary though, when I was looking for my new cam I was finding it for 50% to 60% less on some sites cpompared to a site I knew was reliable. Then I started doing a little digging and what do you know nothing but nightmares from other customers using the same company.....also the conveniently left out the fact that you didn't get the normal kit with cam, body only.

Here's a good site for finding out about companies: http://www.resellerratings.com/

Hi,

I've bought a lot of stuff (two dozen orders or so) from Newegg without any problems from them.

I have some cheap DVD drives I've got from various sales in the $50 range - no name brands - and have found them to be okay. The only thing that can get sticky is whether the drivers are up-do-date,

Hi thecoalman,

I know about that "kit" thing...

When I was looking for my camcorder, I ran into some wonderful prices, and no where, I repeat, no where did they mention that I was just getting the cam, and that it came with "NONE" of the manufacturer supplied accessories! I orderd my cam from one certain site, on their web page, and the order when through ok, so they said...

I waited five days, and heard nothing from them. I called their customer service department, and the guy looked up the order and said, "Yes, your order is being processed, oh, by the way, did you know that this cam doesn't come with a battery pack or ac charger cords, would you like to order those items now?" I said, you did not say anything about that on your web site, cancel my order! I could not beleive it! It seems their "trick" is to delay your order, so you call and inquire about it, then they hit you with a sales pitch for the accessories!"

I did manage to get a great deal on my Canon Elura 65 from "Beach Camera," and they were just great to deal with; I would reccomend them to anyone!
