slideshow wont show on TV

Hi , I succesfully did a slide show on Explorer 8 xl , burned to a DVD disc and it shows great on the computer , but when I put the dvd in the stand alone player , to view on TV all it says on the TV screen "disc error "
Any suggetions Thanks

rick..........which format did you burn the dvd in..dvd-r or dvd+r ? I'm thinking if your dvd player is very old it may only read 1 of the formats and not the other. I would suggest you try to play on another DVD player to check....I just gave an DVD christmas disc to a friend of mine and he had the same problem, would play on his computer and his stand alone DVD player which was a cheap and older model.

Hi Jim, thanks for your input , I burned it succesfully to a Sony DVD+R disc. My DVD player is not that old and it was expensive ahows up on the DVDplayer compatibility list. I have already burned DVD+R discs in U-Leads VS8 and they play both on the computer and in my stand alone DVD player . So I am thinking its not a DVD Player problem , but a problem on procedure or Ulkeads Burn engine is not accurate ? Because going into C;\programfiles\commondata\Ulead systems\DVD I notice from other posts that the dll versions are dependant on the order that are upgraded into your system . I had donloaded the burn engine ver 8.01 . so still puzzled and suspect That U-Lead needs to get6 their act together and come out with a workable burn engine fix. Rick

Seems to me with all that I am reading regarding DVD burning whether in PEX8 or the CD DVD Pictureshow that Ulead needs to get it together as far as that goes.
I am very happy with the PI graphics program and was going to order the DVD picture show but not now after all that I have read.
