Line Cropping

Is there a feature that allows me to crop off the first couple of lines of video in one or all source files? In my HD captures off of my TiVo I see a line or two at the top that looks like VBI data flipping around and I'd like to cut them out so that the jumpy white noise goes away.

Is there a way to tell VS to skip "n" lines, or a clever way to mask over a couple of lines?

As long as you play your resultant video on a TV, the over scan will take care of that. TV sets will not show an area of around 10% around your video frame. Make a test video and see for yourself. Your PC shows a much bigger image than your TV will.
