Media Studio Director's Cut 6.5...is what?

Post by kebrinton »

I'm fairly experienced with Video Studio, but I'm about to begin using MSP for the first time. And I have a question:

What is Media Studio Director's Cut 6.5 ? You know you can buy these on eBay and I'm sure it's perfectly legit. But what IS this software? I don't see it on the Ulead Web site and never have.

Can anyone put it into perspective for me?

If I recall...

From what I remember, it was a scaled down version of the FULL MSP 6.5 -- I don't think it included the Video Paint or CGI Infinity modules. And the Video Editor module might have some minor differences from the full version (less overlay tracks maybe). But I think it was pretty powerful even without VideoPaint and CGI..

If your in the US give this a look: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/control ... 495&is=REG

Note that it only includes DVD WS 1.3 & Photoimpact 8.

DVDWS 1 is a very capable authoring app, it has most of the major features included in 2. There's a comparison somewhere on the DVDWS page.

That link is for the Studio Quartet, I think the 6.5 Director's Cut was being asked about...

Yes I know but that's dirt cheap for what you get, just giving him an alternative. It's also from a 100% reliable source.
