Videostudio 11.5 UPD files

When i extract files from a DVD to edit them
and then save the edited mpeg it renders in real time
unless i extract the dvd. Close videostudio 11.5 , go to the folder containing the extracted files and delete the upd and ini files re open VS 11.5 re import the files , then it will render quickly ?

Older versions didn't save the upd and ini files when you extracted

Is this a Bug?

On my system at least, I've found that VS gives a long default filename to the extracted video, which includes the "tilde" character, "~". VS is unable to Smart Render the video - and the MPEG Optimizer is "grayed out".

I tried deleting the .ini and .upd files, but this made no difference.

When I renamed the video file, however, removing the tilde character, Smart Render was enabled.
