best dv-dvd alternative?

...hi to all and i'm thankful for the helpful people in this forum...
...had vs10 upgraded to vs11plus on vista and now have headache for the swtich...
...the 9 minute capture bug, using dv to dvd option, scans up to 9 minutes and stops, has there any been a solution/fix to this? i can capture good using 3rd party app but don't prefer switching programs....
...i'm not a techie person and i was happy with vs10plus before, dv-dvd is a breeze...
..any alternate program that does great job in dv-dvd transfer with great menu/templates to choose from?
...any help is appreciated
