Hi, I'm working with m2t files off my camcorder. When I insert them as clips their thumbnail is color in the library view, but whenever I enter them into timeline, and press play they turn black and white.
When I pause - the image in the preview window turns color again.
Edit:
I just tried exporting a sample video into a WMV format, and even the final version is black and white. But whenever I pause the movie inside Ulead Stuido it's Color. What am I doing wrong? I haven't enabled any filters as far as I know, just installed Corel, and it was doing it by default.
Edit:
More info on the problem:
1. I'm running Ulead VideoStudio 11 Plus.
2. I'm in the U.S. and had everything set to NTSC (not PAL).
3. I have quad core Q6600, and GeForce 8800GT, running WinXP Pro, 32 bit version.
4. The clips were taken using Panasonic HD-SD1 camcorder.
5. I am not capturing real-time. I'm simply importing files from my camcorder which have been recorded a while ago. The format used is AVCHD, and I'm getting them in through "Import DVD folder" function.
6. When inside Studio's editing clip I click Capture as Image - it shows up in color, same as when I pause. Looks like the problem is with playback.
7. If somebody would be willing to try to open one of my short m2t files on their Ulead, it could help narrow the problem down.
I downloaded a trial version of ulead studio on my crappy laptop, and I was able to get everything in color back then which has me worried now, as I just saw another post on this forum mentioning something about the black and white color being video card related:

Can't Get Color Movie Clips To Work?

I figured the rendering problem out. It's the damned Windows Media Player. I just built the computer, and was using the WMP that came starndard with the XP installation disc. Turns out it must be missing some codecs or something, because it was displaying the videos in black an white. I was testing youtube upload capabilities, and those turned out in color. After that I tried the supposedly black and white render output in RealPlayer, and it was also in color.
I think I finally got it figured out for. I started suspecting my video card, (another poster had a similar problem), and that's what it turned out to be. I started going over all the settings, and sure enough - Saturation in my video card control panel was turned down all the way down to 0%.
After bringing it back to 50%, all the clips play in full color.
What threw me off is that one time when it just started working all of a sudden.
