Thanks for your clarification question.
No I have performed two operations to verify the response does not work with my MOV files.
1. Once I have built my simple project consisting of one MOV file. I then perform the following functions from the pulldown menu.
Share->Create Video File->WMV->WMV HV 720 30p
I then wait for the file to complete its build. Once complete I then checked the file using a media viewer and the symptoms opf jerky video and segemented audio are seen.
2. Once I have built my simple project consisting of one MOV file. I then perform the following functions from the pulldown menu.
Share->Project Playback-> Entire Project
Once again as the project is displayed to my screen I notice the symtoms observed above.

Re: Reply to 2Dogs
On my pc, I notice that WMV HD 30p produces a file that has only 20 frames per second. WMV seems like an odd format to choose - it's highly compressed, so you're going from one highly compressed format to another highly compressed one, but also one that involves changing the frame rate.rpruitt76 wrote:Thanks for your clarification question.

In view of the above, you should try output to HDV 720 30p and see if that shows the same problems. It seems to only output to 16:9 widescreen format - but I think that's what your Aiptek records anyway.rpruitt76 wrote:I then wait for the file to complete its build. I wouldn't be at all surprised to hear of jerky playback in the VS preview window. It's the rendered output that matters. You might see slightly better preview playback by setting "Playback method:" to "High Quality Playback" in "File > Preferences" but the downside of this is that it might take quite some time for VS to generate the necessary temporary files.rpruitt76 wrote:2. Argh......Here we go again
Ok.....I attempted to create the format that you indicated but could not find that setting....My choices for "Create Video" are as follows:
DV- NTSC DV(4:3)
NTSC DV(16:9)
DVD/VCD/SVCD/MPEG- NTSC DVD(4:3)
NTSC DVD(16:9)
NTSC VCD
NTSC SVCD
NTSC MPEG1(352x240, 29.97fps)
NTSC MPEG2(720x480, 29.97fps)
WMV- WMV HD 1080 30p
WMV HD 720 30p
WMV Broadband (320x240, 30fps)
Pocket PC WMV (320x240, 15fps)
Smartphone WMV (220x176, 15fps)
WMV Zune (320x240, 30fps)
WMV Zune (640x480, 30fps)
Custom- Microsoft AVI Files (*.avi)
Autodesk Animation Files (*.flc)
Autodesk Animation Files (*.fli)
Autodesk 16-bit Animation Files (*.flx)
Quick Time Movie Files (*.mov, *.qt)
MPEG Files (*.mpg)
Ulead Image Sequence Files (*.uis)
Windows Media Video (*.wmv, *.asf)
Could not find referenced format "HDV 720 30p"....So I built in the following two formats:
* DV-NTSC DVC(16:9): Did not work. Output did not work with MPC(Media Player Classic). File loaded put could not get play file by pressing play button.
*Custom-AVI: Did not work. Output did not work with MPC(Media Player Classic). File loaded put could not get play file by pressing play button.
Second.....Attempted to modify Preferences as indicated and attempted playback. The following message came up on the screen:
"High quality playback mode is disabled with current project settings."
That $60 product is looking better and better all the time. But I am still not ready to giveup yet. Last set of questions would be :
1. Are we sure that VS(Video Studio) does not have a bug when it comes to processing MOV files?
2. Are we sure that Mp4cam2avi does not have a bug when it comes to processing MOV files?
These statements are based on the fact that I know that AVS4You does work on the MOV file and QuickTime works on the AVI File and MPC does work with the MOV file. Yes it is compressed and yes I believe that VS can work with the file once it has been converted to a better format. I noticed that the group that supports Mp4cam3avi might have problems with newer formats. They even stated that they would be willing to update the package for new formats if they are submitted. I may submit this and see what happens. But I still need a short term solution.
Thanks again for your input and support....It has been greatly appreciated.

Aha! Sorry, I think the HDV stuff only appears after loading the 11.5 "power pack". I should have asked you much earlier if you'd applied all patches and updates!
see this topic for details:
Updates and Power Pack
It will change your version to 11.5.0157.2 Plus

Glad to hear it worked!
And of course sorry that I got you to jump thru those hoops instead of asking about the updates in the first place!
At least I can stop haranguing those knuckleheads at Circuit City now!
In a review I read of your Aiptek, it was rated more highly than a far more expensive Sanyo, so hope you can get some good results with yours!
