Welcome back Yen,

I'd say you've been doing fairly well, 4yrs and no problems with VS..;)
Help. No problems with my laptop.
Did you install this on your laptop? I'd guess there is something amiss or the program would not be crashing just trying to open it. We just need to figure out what that may be..

Has your System profile changed, ie; your laptop has WinXP installed on it? Did you install all the patches and updates for VS11+? If not you can Download them Here. Unless you had the problems mentioned in the notations for the Hot Fix, do not install it. Install the Update Pack first, before installing the Power Pack.

Next have you updated DirectX for your system? Go HERE and download the latest MS Direct-X drivers. The most current is dated Nov. '07.

I'm not sure what the exact function of that file is, however I have discovered that it is critical to the functioning of Ulead programs. I done a test, renaming that DLL file, and received an error when trying to launch the program. So I would guess at this point either that file is missing on your system, or it is corrupted. To check do a search in the ~Program Files/Ulead Systems/Video Studio/11.0 folder for it.

If it is not there, it needs to be, if it is there it is probably corrupt. You would need to re-install VS to fix the problem. If you have the install CD, you could try doing a Repair install first. Try shutting down your anti-virus program, and any spyware apps you may have before re-installing.
