18 hours and counting!!!

Post by Zentron »

Total Progress: Output disc.... 99%
Detail Progress: Recording disc.... Writing at 6.0x (8310 KB/s) 0%

Normally, after just 5-6 hours, it's done, but so far, the clock is coming up to 18:37 and counting. I don't know if it's because I'm burning 'Widescreen' but it should have been finished by now.

Any reasonings as to why it could be taking so very very very long?

There sure is 8) What, exactly, out of all the possible reasons, might be construed out of the file formats (source and target) and your work flow. Hardware/Software mix on your machine could also have to do with it. All these factors are a mystery to us.

If you're burning a Standard Definition DVD, you have way more patience than I. However as Heinz questioned, what type of system are you using? The time might be ok on an old P1 386DX machine, but something is wrong if you're using a Duo or Dual or Quad core machine.

Which have never given me any problems.

I have found out as to why my computer was not burning the disc, it was the MPEG file that I had created using Video Studio 10, there was something wrong with the file.
