Movie Factory 6 plus and HD pack - going in bin

Post by pazzaz »

I go to PC world and buy MF 6 plus it says on the box I can burn Bluray discs on my new Sony BD burner with menus as well. Well not quite you see you have to spend more money on the HD pack to create menus and still I have no Bluray discs with menus. I am told to reinstall the software and still no go. I have many conversations with technical support on the phone and after trying to understand English with a heavy German accent I still have no success. After hours and hours in front of my edit PC and financially worse off the time has come............. Bin the bloody lot and do what I should have and buy Adobe Encore even though it is considerably more money. Just a shame DVD Workshop 2 has not been upgraded to enable Bluray creation.

Hi,
This is a users forum, if you post more detail maybe someone can help you.
I understand the other program is very expensive.
If you installed MF6+ retail box, then install the patches including the HD-Add-On pack the Blu-Ray disk feature should be available.
It is on my installation.

As far as I know the Retail MF6+ Version without the HD-Add-On pack can burn Blu-Ray Discs known as BDAV disks.
That would be "Start -> Programs -> Ulead MovieFactory 6 -> Ulead BD DiskRecorder 2.x "

If you have installed MF6+ retail with the patches & the "HD-Add-On Pack" and still don't have a Blu-Ray module to make BDMV disks (blu-ray disks with menus) then something is obviously wrong.
If the above is true do you have any other software on the computer?
