iviRegMgr.exe - does what? remove how?

Hi,

Using WinDVD 8 on XP SP2.

WinDVD (which is the only InterVideo software on my system) has installed a process/service called iviRegMgr.exe - it is running all the time.

What does iviRegMgr.exe do?

Depending on the answer to that question I may remove it, how is it best to remove iviRegMgr.exe ?? I found it in XP's 'Services' list, so presumably I just stop the service and then change its startup type to manual, so it won't start unless I do it myself manually. Are there any implications to doing this?
