I upgraded from Ulead VS 10 this weekend.
I used to love version 10 and already regreated the new upgrade.
IT DOES NOT WORK.
When I go to SHARE, and select CREATE A DISC... it allows me to add a video, but after that... I cannot go anywhere.
1) The video cannot be seen on the preview.
2) If I try to add auto chapters, it gives a Windows General Error e crashes.
3) If I try to edit chapters manually... it does not allowme to use the JOG BAR... (everything gray)
Please someone HELP...

ticterra,
I had the very same problem after upgrading from VS10 to VS11. Ken Berry gave me the solution which requires 2 Ulead patches and 1 DirectX patch. I don't know how to direct you to the link in this post but you should be able to find it if you search on "Preview window blank when authoring in VS11".
Good luck. Once you solve this problem you will be happy with VS11.

In fact for the preview/menu problems, the problem should be solved if you first go to the Microsoft DirectX website and download the latest update patch. The current one is dated November 2007 and can be found at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en
Note that it updates both DirectX 9.0c (XP) and 10 (Vista). The number of your DirectX installation will not change, but the patch gives extra functionality in a number of areas and corrects other faults in VS11 in particular which do appear linked to Windows updates.
The patches woodchuck refers to you should also install anyway. The first is a patch dated 6 November 2007 and can be found in the bottom of three patches/updates on the Download button on the Ulead.com website. Install that first. Then, if you have the PLUS version of VS11, intall the second of the three on that page, called Power Pack and dated 8 November.
CAUTION: do NOT install the top patch (called Hot Fix) unless you have exactly and only the conditions described in the notes to it. By the sounds of it, you don't need that patch.

Ulead VideoStuddio 11 Plus created HD DVD Won't Play
I used the lowest speed (which was 4X) to burn a HD DVD disc. The successfully created HD DVD disc still would not play on my LG HD DVD player. The player recognized the disc as HD DVD, but then gave ERROR message and ejected the disc.
Does this product ever work for creating a useable HD DVD disc? Is there any one ever created a workable HD DVD disc? If so, how?
Is Corel aware of this problem?
Please help!
Thanks.
