mpg formatting issues... why is it distorted?
when ever I try to convert my movies to an mpg file lately, it distorts the image and makes everything look somewhat oblong. Normally this wouldn't be too much of a problem but I make a lot of sci-fi type movies where I zoom and pan on images of planets and well... its just not as cool when the planets are shaped like eggs instead of circles. Anyone out there know how I can fix this problem? I would be very greatful.

its not just my jpgs. Its everything, including my live action shots. And besides, it works just fine if I transfer it into a wmp file or a DVD of VDV file. It's just the mpgs that are having trouble rendering and I need to have it in mpg form because that's the only kind my professor is taking.
I asked him if he knew how to help me but he only uses macs and imovie and says he's never heard of that problem.

What are normal Settings?
Need more information.
What are your Project settings?
What settings did you use to create video file mpeg 2?
If you used still images i assume they were approx 4:3 ratio.
Are you working in widescreen 16:9 0r 4:3?
.................
As a test
Start a NEW project.
Edit project properties to Mpeg/NTCS Dvd.
Save project
Insert images and/or video to timeline(a few will do)
Share Create Video File / Same as project Settings
This will make a Mpeg 2 file.
Does this play ok.
