SUPER is a little strange, but I'm not sure how you got 3 files out of two... If you are making a DVD, your output format should be MPEG-2 (SUPER shows it as "MPEG II") for video and either MP2 or AC3 (48kHz 16-bit) for the audio format. And, you need to choose the correct framerate (FPS) and resolution for either PAL or NTSC DVD, depending on where you live. There is a chart on this page that shows the specs for PAL & NTSC DVD.i tried super to create mpg's but the results were weird. the movie is actually 2 avi's. both around 700+mb, same properties as in the post. super created 3 mpgs's..
The file size is determined by the combined audio & video bitrate. Since MPEG-2 is less efficient than Xvid, you need to use a higher bitrate (and your files will be bigger). Here is an online DVD Bitrate Calculator.one is 463mb and is the 1st half of the movie.
It's normal for SUPER to name the output files this way. You can rename it and take-out the .AVI part....the other 2 are the original .avi file names with .mpg appended to the end so i gave up on that.
I think you want to use VOB DVD Compliant.i'm now trying super to create .vob's, i have dvd shrink which will burn those. i'm not sure whether to use the 'vob dvd compliant' or the 'vob (.ts/.m2t to .vob)'
Simply burning VOB files onto a blank disc does not make a proper DVD structure. You need to use a DVD authoring program.i have dvd shrink which will burn those.
Converting the files to MPEG-2 with SUPER should solve that problem if you had one file... But, you may end-up with the same problem after you join two MPEG-2 files together...i had tried to use ulead to create .vob's for eventual burn to dvd but got a problem with audio and video getting out of sync,
