Insertion Of Video Clips

Post by nancyd »

I have VideoStudio 7 - soon to upgrade to version 9.

I'm trying to "insert" video clips, however when I do so, all my audio, text and headings are off and don't "move" with the insert.

Is there a way to insert so that all else stays aligned?

Thanks.

Yes -- buy version 9, where this apparently happens automatically (the ripple effect), though I can't comment on it as I don't yet have VS9. In VS 8, there is a rather clunky way of highlighting all the various bits which you want to move to coordinate with edits you have made, and move them all together. But in VS7, you have to do it all manually, if you indeed remember to do so!

Thanks for the reply.

Wow, what a bad design - even if it is an early version release.

Thanks again.

Ripple Editing

Yes, in VS9 you have the option of rippling ALL the tracks simultaneously (Overlay, Title, Voice, Music), or you can Ripple selective tracks.

More like bad design on purpose. The new features included in VS9 are standard in MSP.
