patch to read m2ts files

Post by Roland »

Hello
I wanted to try VideoStudio 11.5plus to work with m2ts files (sony HD). So I download it and install. I Obtain version 11.0.0157.0 Plus. I've tried to install patch: UVS11_Plus_ESD_FRE_PowerPack.exe ( file version 12.0.0.58849 09/02/2008) but when i try to install it I have the message: "Ne trouve pas videostudio 11" .
Is it because I am under trial version or French version?

Thanks for your help

Welcome to the forums,

If you are using a trial (TBYB) version, the patches and upgrades will not install. A further note, if you decide to purchase VS11 make sure you purchase the Plus version. The upgrade Power Pack will not install to the vanilla version VS11.

Yes and No,

Whilst you may try the program before buying, just not the latest and greatest, or with all the bells and whistles..;)

It's also been noted that the trial version is the first release, which does contain the bugs that are fixed in the patches. I don't understand why Corel does not replace the trial version with a corrected one.

I certainly agree with not having all the extras in trial versions, but when they fix bugs, the trial should be updated so that potential customers are at least getting a copy that does not have the known bugs in it.
