Newbie VS11.5+user ... just arrived from VS9.
My video is all 4:3, my TVs are widescreen.
The VS9 projects I burned to SVCD when I didn't have a DVD burner are all fine.
Now I am on Vista with a DVD burner and I'm having difficulty getting the aspect ratio right on the DVD. When I play the DVD I get a vertically squashed picture with black bars top and bottom.
I searched the forum and found a solution that works.
Set VS to 4:3
Make sure it says 4:3 in properties
Move clips to the overlay track - right click - keep aspect ratio - fit to screen.
Now I have properly-proportioned pictures on the TV.
But this seems very clumsy and I am missing out on some of the useful features I am familiar with - like transitions.
Have I missed something very obvious (again)?
Aspect ratio problem with 4:3 clips on widescreen.
