VS8 and Pick-a-Video Pro

Post by lalkana »

I have several of the Pick-a-Video Pro disks. I haven't used them in some time, but was trying to make in intro today and realized that there no longer seems to be any way to utilize the tga image overlay files. Do I now have to have MS Pro? This used to work with 6. I can't remember if it worked with 7, but why the downgrade in the later versions?

I believe you have more options available now, right click the image and see if there's a selection for "overlay options" within the options set it to "alpha channel"

Unfortunately, alpha channel is not the issue. The problem is that you can no longer seem to import the tga frames as a batch and set the duration of each frame in the batch. You have to load each image separately with a default to a 3 second duration versus one frame. Even if I could guesstimate a second count to equal 1 frame, I am not going to go through all that for the 99 photos in the sequence. I have looked and looked, but the ability to use Pick-a-Photo Pro tga sequences with Video Studio appears to be gone. Why new and improved versions would have lost this feature, I don't know. Perhaps Ulead thought no one was using it. Very helpful.
