VS11 Plus: White Balance

I recently upgraded from VS9 to VS11 Plus and am pleased to find that there are a now several options (in the Color Correction tool) for correcting white balance.

When editing captured DV, I usually make use of the automatic 'split by scene' function. My query is, having adjusted the white balance in one scene (using auto WB or the 'white dropper' tool), is it possible to apply the same settings to another scene (in the same project) shot under the same or similar lighting conditions.

I ask this because if one simply applies Auto White Balance separately to each split scene the outcome can be quite variable, particularly in a series of clips shot under mixed, uneven lighting (i.e. your typical indoor home video).

Of course the ideal solution is to manually WB the camcorder (if it has that capability) against a calibrated pure white or neutral gray card before shooting, but in impromptu situations that is not always possible.

The white dropper tool is a useful fall-back, but again the results can be pretty erratic and subjective unless a calibrated WB card is included in the shot to serve as the reference 'white point'.

I know in photography some people take a WB card shot before or after a photo session, and then apply the reference WB adjustments to the session photos in Photoshop etc.

Basically, I'm querying whether VS11 Plus has similar facility as applied to video clips? If not, I think this would be a very useful enhancement
